France: Part 2 (pretty soon it's gonna be italy!)

(1)
Dear (2) Journely (3),
This morning we landed in Paris, France (4). We took a long bus ride (5), and (6) got to the terminal. We had to wait in a long line for our passports to be checked (7). Once that was done, we were driven (8) to our hotel, called the Hotel du Boes (9). When we got there, we had to wait for an hour because the room wasn't ready (10). Once we put our things in the room (11), a taxi took us to the Eiffle Tower (12). My sister and mom stayed on the second level (13), while (14) my dad and I went to the top (15). It was cool (16). After that, we took a tour cruise of the Saine River (17). We got to see the Eiffle Tower blink (18) at 9:00 and 10:00 (19). It was a beautiful sight (20). Untill tomorow (21),
Rachel

  1. (This was Monday, March 26, like two days after the week before spring break started. I was in 4th grade, like I said.)

  2. (Here it comes, a ... MISPELLED WORD! :o)

  3. (I really didn't know how to spell, and suprisingly language arts was my best subject in elementary school... that's a fail...)

  4. (the flight was some kinda awesome. The Delta Boeing was very tricked out, and even though we were in economy class, it was very nice and comfy. I got to keep the blanket -wtf happened to it...?-)

  5. (Ok, the French hate americans. They think we are the lower class of the world, so our flight from AMERICA was unloaded in the freezing cold, then we had to wait about 30 minutes until this crappy bus came and took us to the terminal. I HATE FRENCH -no offense to Alice LaFlamme-)

  6. (like i said, freezing cold. At least the bus was warm, but I was in sweats. COLD.)

  7. (The people who didn't need their passports stamped with the France seal thingie had a short line. They looked at you, your passport, and told you yay or nay. Simple)

  8. (Not by taxi, we had a guy waiting for us in a van called Franc, he was an African-French. Kinda cool, but he had a hilarious accent, and the van's seats could turn around to face the back of the car.)

  9. (Three words: old, tiny, cheaply expensive. But cool location. It was a corner building, and the room my family got was in the corner, so it had two giant curved windows that overlooked the street.)

  10. (lazy bums, they knew we were coming, but NO, they had to wait until we got there to set up the two cots)

  11. (ugh, hated the GIANT suit case, it was really a closet on wheels)

  12. (very pretty, and it was warming up, so I wasn't so frozen.)

  13. (wimps. They hate heights. I just hate it when I get to the top, and then is pulled back down again )

  14. (long elevator ride up, like 5 minutes just looking outside as we grew)

  15. (the top was very cool. Literally. It was cold. But the sight was breath taking. I wish I had a camera, and my dad isn't the type to carry a camera. I think we have pictures though...)

  16. (yeah, just typed that.)

  17. (Let me tell you this piece of useless info that you WILL remember the rest of your life: every time you smell something, you ingest a little bit of it. EW. I inhaled the Saine River smell. GROSS!)

  18. (It does it every hour, on the hour, but only after dark. You can't exactly see it during the days. It's bright there.)

  19. (Awesome.)

  20. (only term I knew back then. Like I said, I sucked in 4th grade. Suprisingly, I was liek popular in 4th. I knew EVERYONE.)

  21. (still can't spell, and yes, I will put myself down, it doesn't matter anymore)

  22. (except for the flight and snooty french part, the whole day was awesome. I liked it, but this was also the day we ate Pizza Hut. Unless you like over cooked, greasy, terrible pizza , don't eat there.)
